How I Started My Business

I started my social media management business with nothing but one amazing client and a desire for more.

I was leaving the television industry - something I thought was my dream for a very long time.

Turns out my “dream” meant:

❌12+ hour workdays
❌ Being underpaid
❌ Not being taken seriously because of my age and being a woman.

My Social media management business meant:
✅ Independence & creativity
✅ Choosing who I want to work with
✅ Clients who value and appreciate my expertise and insight
✅ Creating impact and massive results for my clients

There will be thousands of people online telling you that starting your business is hard. That your market is oversaturated. And the truth is that it IS hard. The mental discipline, the inner mindset work, taking imperfect action, dealing with rejection - it’s all freaking hard.

But you get to choose your hard.

👉Putting up with people who don’t value you is hard.
👉Being creatively stifled is hard.
👉Seeing your hard work go to other people is hard.

In the words of Stephen King - “you can, you should, and if you’re brave enough to start, you will”.

Stop playing small and letting someone less qualified than you play out your dream because they are brave enough to take action. You go this 💪🔥🔥🔥
